(26 replies) About to buy a Dyno GT air, few questions. Looks like you put too many numbers in based on the image I’ve attached. See the image I’ve attached below to help identify the newer FA frames like yours. Don’t know where U means it was made, but I’m sure with more research you could figure it out. You read it like this: letters= name of frame numbers= tt size so its a 21 inch frame. I've been looking but cant find anything. That wasn't a frame from a complete bike. I've never seen a pro with the SN on the BB. What's the top tube length on yours? If center to center is 21' you have a pro long, which is what they were called before they went to limo. At six digits long and no number greater than 3, it's hard to imagine this has any date information encoded.Īny thoughts on my number? Whether there are clues to US vs overseas manufacture, or date? That doesn't match the format of anything I've seen in this thread - closest I've seen is Bambi's 3090047 (the previous post in this thread), for which it was suggested numbers were out of order and might indicate March '90. The serial number is stamped on the BB, parallel to the crank shaft (starting on drive train side, across BB to non-drive-train side). It had the script stickers, not block letters. I'm pretty sure the model is 'Pro' - it's not a Limo for sure. I have a 20' Free Agent frame and fork that I bought new in 1989, not as a complete bike. Free Agent Bmx Serial Number Identifier List.
